All nose-in stands have stand number, yellow centre-line and guidance in the form of either Visual Docking Guidance System or AGNIS and Ground Stop Arrow. Cross reference to the taxiway, stands and numerals against the stand designator on the face of the pier is recommended to avoid any confusion. The following stands are fitted with Visual Guidance Docking System (Safedoc): 3-5, 9-11, 14-29, 30, 30L, 30R, 32-37, 37L, 37R, 38-40. The following stands are fitted with AGNIS and Ground Stop Arrow: 1, 1A, 2, 12, 64, 65, 81, 82. Marshalling is provided at the following stands, which are not fitted with Stand Entry Guidance: 6, 6A, 7, 8, 31, 61-63. The use of oversteering for any A380 operations must be used with extreme caution. Marshaller guidance is available on request via ATC. Stand 30 is the preferred A380 stand with twin upper bridges and lower bridge. Stand 37 is a contingency parking stand which requires the aircraft to be towed to stand from the N cul- de-sac under a special procedure. Red stop bars signifying holding positions for ILS Category l protection for Links A, B, D, E, F and G. Red stop bars signifying holding positions of ILS CAT ll/lll protection for Links A and G. All available stop bars are lit H24. The apron is marked for nose-in/push-back parking only and operators should ensure that agents can supply tractor push-back facilities. The majority of stands are equipped with A-VDGS. A marshalling service will be provided for the minority of the remaining stands that do not have A-VDGS fitted. Flight crew must not attempt to self-park if the A-VDGS is not activated or calibrated for their aircraft type, or no marshaller clearly present. Note that marshallers wear distinctive yellow and orange high visibility clothing, and unless otherwise explicitly advised will be using marshalling wands or bats. In the event of there being no activated A-VDGS displayed upon approach to the stand, or no marshaller indicating clearance to proceed, flight crews must: - Hold position on the taxiway centre-line; - Inform Air Traffic Control they are awaiting stand entry guidance; - Contact company to arrange activation. Note: ATC may request aircraft to ‘report parked’ this is not an instruction to self-park. In the event of a failure of the A-VDGS during parking, flight crews must: - Inform Air Traffic Control of a stand entry guidance failure; - Contact company to arrange a marshaller.
